Thanksgiving 2011

For Thanksgiving we drove down to Homestead to be with our families. The Frye Thanksgiving was held at the Griffin's home and we were fortunate enough to be able to sit outside under the trees for dinner. Everyone pitched in and made something delicious which made for a wonderful meal and some great fellowshipping. We had a delicious mahi mahi dinner over at the Fox's the next night and got to spend some good quality time with both of our parents. Taylor's favorite part of Thanksgiving was being pulled or helping to push, the wagon around the yard. She must have walked 50 miles while we were down and she loved every minute of it.

Our new little gift

I am so embarrassed and ashamed that this is the first entry I have made in regards to our great joy, baby Fox number two! Please don't ever tell this sweet baby how long it took me to announce that he/she (God willing) will be coming in February. Pete and I were ecstatic to learn that we were pregnant with this new little sweet pea about 6 months ago. We found out the week before I got out for my summer break and within the week Pete had found, bought and installed a second crib. When our parents came up for Taylor's baptism, we added to the excitement of the day with the baby announcement. We told my parents by showing them the addition we had made to Taylor's room (the second crib) and we told Pete's parents at church by handing them a book entitled "I am going to be a big sister". I wish you could have seen the look on their four faces! Disbelief definitely out weight joy in the first moment, however joy quickly followed.
When we got back from our summer trip I had an appointment to see Dr. Shah. Thankfully everything looked great and I was shocked to see an actual little human on the 12 week ultrasound as apposed to the bean I saw at Taylor's 8 week ultrasound. It is absolutely incredible to see the changes that occur in just four short weeks of a new baby's life. This baby's heart rate seems to be lower than I remember Taylor's being. My mom thinks this one is going to be a boy, I am feeling like it is another girl, we will have to wait 3 more months to find out!

Taylor's Birthday Party

A couple of weeks before her actual birthday, we went to Homestead to have a birthday celebration with our families. Pete cooked some incredible barbecue, I made the cake and we had a wonderful time celebrating Taylor and her first year of life. We were so grateful to all of our family and friends who were able to come and be a part of such a special day in our lives.

We were so blessed to have Pete's grandparents come to the party!

Taylor's cousins helped her take care of her birthday cake. I think this might be the exact moment that Wyatt licked the side of the cake...priceless!
Tay was not so sure what to do with this thing. She mostly enjoyed sticking her finger in the candle hole.

Mr. and Mrs. Frye

On October 21st 2010, Colt and Bethany got married in Charleston SC. We drove up to Charleston on Taylor's actual birthday and stayed with my family in a house near the beach. The rehearsal dinner was on Thursday night at Home team Barbecue and the wedding took place Friday afternoon at the Magnolia Plantation. The ceremony was on a beautiful grassy hill overlooking the river and the reception was in the conservatory. The wedding and reception were both extremely personal and just as the bride and groom wanted. Colt and Beth's hands were in every single detail of the day and it made for an unique and charming event. I pray that Colt and Beth will seek the Lord in their marriage and that He will bless them.
I did not take very many pictures at the wedding, as I was dealing with Taylor, but their photographer did an incredible job and you can see some of the photos here

October 19th 2011

On October 19th our little sweet pea turned one year old! Pete and I marveled at how quickly this year has gone and how much Taylor has grown and changed. It is almost unfathomable to think of what our life was like without our little Tay. I know we had a lot more quiet nights and free time but we also had a lot less laughs and joy in our hearts.
Thank you Lord for giving us our precious baby girl. Please bless her all the days of her life and keep her close to you.

Baptisim

Before we left for our summer trip, Taylor was baptised at our church. Our parents came up for the service and then stayed for lunch at our house afterward. We are so grateful for our family and the church family who competed to helping us raise Taylor to know and seve the Lord.
