Return to home

After a trip to Greenville, Charlotte, and Gainesville, a packing of our entire house and classroom, 4 job 5 job interviews, several pros and cons lists, many budgets, and hours and hours of prayer, Pete and I decided that the Lord was calling us back to Fort Myers. There happened to be a kindergarten opening back at Edison Park, which I interviewed for on our way back from our whirlwind of a trip. The renters who were renting our house had asked to go to a month to month contract so we were able to move right back into our home. We rented another uhaul, made a couple of trips back and forth and moved back into our home. The next Monday I started preplanning and just like that we were back in our old life with a new perspective, attitude, gratitude, and a life time of God's graciousness.
Taylor and Blake talked all summer about having roller skates when we go to our "new" home, so we made sure there were two pairs waiting for them when the arrived.

Although for the most part our house was in good shape, there were a couple of stinky maintenance things that had to be repaired. We are so grateful for this amazingly talented husband/daddy, who can fix ANYTHING!

Making some hanging gardens for the yard

Taylor and Blake discovered a new found love for climbing trees.
Riley, of course, is trying to join in on the fun

Mommy's impulsive buy (for some reason I felt strongly that they should each have one)

Blake LOVES to grill like daddy
