Halloween

Blake's first pumpkin and Taylor's first time dressing up.
Blake loved the pumpkin, Taylor did not love the dressing up. Taylor was giving several Halloween costumes this year; a Winne-the Pooh (thank you Maria) a Minnie Mouse (thank you Donald and Lindsay) a fairy (thank you Gram) and one alternate, a cute pumpkin skirt. On the night of Halloween we decided to go to our friends the Bruner's, across the street. I knew that the dressing up part of the night might prove difficult because every time preciously that I had asked Taylor if she wanted to put her costumes on she gave me a very definite "no". My friend suggested I let her wear her princess heels as she loved to wear those shoes any chance she got. I laid out all four of her costumes with matching shoes and told her she could pick which one she wanted to wear. This offer was proceeded by Taylor promptly going into her closed and closing the door. Finally Daddy came to the rescue with a little bag of M&Ms and some coxing. She decided on the purple heels, which were accompanied by the fairy costume. The first house we stopped at gave Taylor 2 bags of M&Ms and we think she decided dressing up was a small price to pay for candy. I thought she might wake up the next morning and put her costume back on in hopes that someone would give her some more chocolate.
