A fun filled Saturday

This past weekend we had the most fun family day! We started out the morning with breakfast and then a trip to Lakes Park to ride the train. We had been telling Taylor all week that Saturday we would be going on the train. So, each day when she woke up we would count down how many days it was until she got to ride the "choo choo train".  We got to the park a little early and played on the playground equipment, then bought our tickets and picked our seats. The kids loved the ride and I'm pretty sure Pete enjoyed himself as well.
When we left the park we headed over to the Greek Fest where we met John (Big John), Laura (baby John's mommy) and baby John. We ate some delicious, authentic Greek food and then made our way over the the carny section of the festival. John and Pete decided to try their luck at the fish bowl toss, and we walked away with two fish each. The fish toss is by far the most bag for your buck at a fair! Taylor was so excited about fish and proudly swung, dropped, held, her fish for the rest of the time. Surprisingly, that little guy ended up in a better place later that day. John and Laura donated their two fish to us, so now we have three pretty fish swimming around on our kitchen table.
The weather was cool and beautiful and I felt like we were in the middle of a movie on such a perfect and fun  day.

Pete said Blake cried when the horn blew and then again when he saw me on the side, but then decided it was fun.
