This year for our 4th of July celebration, Pete and I started off the day by visiting the Six Mile Cypress Slough. We walked the boardwalk and marveled at God's beauty. Later that night we made a fabulous dinner of shrimp and scallops and then decided to watch a movie instead of the fireworks. As we were watching The Book of Eli, our neighbors began setting off fireworks. We went out into our back yard and discovered that we had a perfect view of the city of Cape Coral's firework show. It was so wonderful to stay at home and watch such a beautiful show. As we were standing there I was thinking that next 4th, God willing, we would have an eight month old baby. I wanted to make sure we would remember what we were doing the last 4th before we became parents.
What a fabulous way to spend the 4th.
